Advocate Fadzayi Mahere has taken to social media to explain why hooking up girls with mbingas is a crime in Zimbabwe.
Her remarks comes after a Bulawayo woman, Andile Sola openly confessed to recruiting and pimping out girls to wealthy men.

Fadzayi Mahere Slams Irresponsible Podcasting After Guest Confesses to Pimping Girls on Air
Posting on her X account, Fadzayi Mahere weighed in on Dj Sparks controversial podcast episode, urging content creators to act responsibly.
She acknowledged the value of podcasts but criticized the decision to host a guest who openly confessed to criminal activities without appearing to understand the gravity of their actions. Mahere described the situation as “crazy business” and stressed the importance of ethical standards when producing and broadcasting such content.

Mahere Warn Podcasters Against Airing Criminal Confessions Without Legal Guidance
Fadzayi Mahere pointed out that procuring or pimping women for prostitution is a serious criminal offence under Section 83 of Zimbabwe’s Criminal Code. She warned that podcast hosts and content creators should tread carefully when discussing such matters publicly.
She revealed that hosting guests who confess to illegal activities on-air could have legal repercussions—not just for the guests, but potentially for the platforms as well.
“As a matter of law, procuring or pimping out women to engage in prostitution is a full on criminal offense under section 83 of the Criminal Code. If you are in the business of podcasting, I’d recommend that you secure legal advice when covering controversial topics to avoid your guests getting into trouble.”
