Scott Sakupwanya’s Medical Centre Offers Free Ultrasound Scans and Antenatal Care for Pregnant Mothers in Mabvuku
Pregnant women in Mabvuku can now access free antenatal care and ultrasound scan services, thanks to Scott Sakupwanya’s Scottland Medical Centre and Maternity.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to support maternal health in the area and provide vital services to women who cannot afford private healthcare.

Focus on Maternal and Prenatal Care
The facility, which opened in March, offers completely free medical services to expecting mothers, elderly patients with chronic conditions, and other vulnerable individuals in Mabvuku and surrounding communities.
In addition to ultrasound scans, the centre also provides free Antenatal Care (ANC) every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. These ANC sessions run from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and include prenatal check-ups, health education, screening for complications, and referrals to specialists if necessary.
Statement from Scottland Medical Centre
In a public statement, the medical centre stated:
“We are pleased to announce that our medical centre will be offering Antenatal Care (ANC) services every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Our experienced healthcare professionals will be available to provide prenatal care, monitoring, and support for expectant mothers.
ANC services will include:
-Routine check-ups and monitoring of pregnancy.
– Health education and counseling.
– Screening for potential complications. – Referrals to specialist care when needed.
We encourage all expectant mothers to take advantage of these services to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery.”
Free Ambulance Services Also Offered
To further ease access to healthcare, Scottland Medical Centre also offers a free ambulance service. This provision is expected to be a game changer for residents who previously faced transport challenges in accessing medical help.
