Kyeezi Survives Hit-and-Run Crash Involving Allegedly Drunk Nigerian Man
Former Metro FM presenter and Cape Town radio personality Kyeezi is lucky to be alive after a terrifying hit-and-run accident on Friday, 16 May.
The crash, which took place in Cape Town, was allegedly caused by a drunk and intoxicated Nigerian man, identified as Michael Jamiu. According to reports, Jamiu fled the scene immediately after the collision, leaving behind his bag, passport, and other belongings.
Suspect on the Run After Nearly Fatal Crash
Eyewitnesses claim that Jamiu was visibly high and intoxicated when the accident occurred. After the impact, he allegedly got out of his Mercedes-Maybach, abandoned the scene, and escaped in another vehicle, evading police officers who were nearby at the time.
Law enforcement is currently searching for him, but he is believed to be in hiding.

Kyeezi Speaks After Accident With Drunk Nigerian
Taking to Instagram, Kyeezi shared the horrifying details of the incident, urging the public to help track down the suspect.
“I was just in an accident in Cape Town, a hit-and-run incident where the other driver ran away, got out of the car, and literally ran away. The police chased him as they were at the traffic light, but he got into another vehicle.”
He identified the suspect by name and nationality, warning that such individuals often flee the country to avoid consequences.
“Posting because when these types of accidents happen, this guy, who is Nigerian, then flees the country, his name is Michael Jamiu.”
Kyeezi added that he is offering a reward to anyone who can help locate Jamiu.
“Please, if you have any information as to where this man can be located, your assistance would be very appreciated. This man almost took my life tonight and fled the scene. I’m willing to compensate anyone that can point me in the right direction.”
The crash involved Jamiu’s Mercedes-Maybach and Kyeezi’s BMW 420i. Despite the severity of the crash, Kyeezi walked away without major injuries.
