ZIFA Names Michael Nees’ Interim Replacement and Full Warriors Squad for 2025 COSAFA Cup
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced a change in leadership for the upcoming COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa from June 4 to 15, 2025. Michael Nees, the senior men’s team head coach, won’t be able to lead the team at COSAFA because he’ll be in Morocco managing two friendlies against Burkina Faso and Niger.

Stepping in as head coach for the COSAFA Cup is Simon Marange, who currently coaches the Zimbabwe U20 national team. Marange will take charge while Nees focuses on the senior team’s friendlies scheduled for June 6 and 10.
Zimbabwe is drawn in Group A with hosts South Africa, Mauritius, and Mozambique. The Warriors will kick off their campaign against Mauritius on June 4.
