In a heartbreaking tribute, Mavuso Magabane shared a video on social media. He reflected on what would unknowingly become his final hangout with Presley Chweneyagae on 24 May 2025 — just three days before the actor’s unexpected death.

The video shows Presley dancing joyfully with Mavuso and a few others on the dance floor at the South African State Theatre. He appeared full of life and energy as he joined the dance routine.

Captioning the video, Mavuso revealed that Presley had changed his plans that day, choosing to skip a Sundowns match to join him at the theatre.

Reflecting on the moment, Mavuso remembered how Presley jokingly asked for a jacket to avoid looking like a clown on the red carpet and later declared they would never return it.

“Let’s recap… 24/05/2025 When you turned around on your way to the stadium (Sundowns game) and decided to rather join me at the @sastatetheatre , I had no idea it was our last hang out. I can’t believe you were this happy just this past Saturday and now this . How you called me to say I must bring you a jacket because you hadn’t checked the invite and now the red carpet was red carpeting and you didn’t wanna look like a , you said. When you said I’m never getting my jacket back, I had no idea this is what you meant. When you called to check if I’m ok the next day, I couldn’t have imagined that you weren’t ok. Wavuma nje kanjalo ngawe? Or kune movie that you all are shooting there in heaven esingayazi? Go shine your light, Tobetsa . It is well.”
