UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo has fired back at a social media critic who questioned his professionalism after he posted a photo celebrating his culture and traditional food.
The outspoken fighter did not hold back, defending his right to live and share his life on his own terms.

Social Media users Vriticises Themba Gorimbo
A social media user only identied Rodrick Prins criticised Themba Gorimbo’s post. He argued that he would never be taken seriously.suggesting that it could damage the UFC fighter’s public image.
Prins argued that as a public figure, Gorimbo should present himself more professionally to appeal to sponsors and be taken seriously. He went on to suggest that Gorimbo might need better public relations guidance if he intends to grow his brand and be respected in the professional space.
“As a celebrity I don’t think you will be taken serious when you post such. You should be an example to the world and attract sponsors. You can’t be taken seriously by anyone when you don’t you don’t even take yourself serious.
You need a better PR if you are to be taken seriously professionally”

Themba Gorimbo Claps Back, Defends Cultural Pride
In response to the criticism, Themba Gorimbo firmly defended his right to express his culture and lifestyle on social media. He challenged the notion that public figures must conform to Western ideals or curated images to be taken seriously.
Gorimbo questioned why traditional African food should be seen as unprofessional, pointing out that such attitudes reflect internalised shame about African identity.
” I am not allowed to express my culture? I am not allowed to post the food I eat ? Just because I must fit in with your perception of what I should eat of post ? If it was a ( burger ) would you be so critical?
So sad to see Africans like you thinking their culture and values are embarrassing yet embrace other people’s culture. You need to get real life and understand that not all of us are actually so called celebrities.

Gorimbo ended his response with a sharp retort, urging the critic to focus on improving their own life rather than policing others. He sarcastically suggested that if fame was the goal, they could pursue it by being “as fake as possible.”
