Consultancy Purpose
UNICEF Zimbabwe is recruiting a national consultant to support the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) by leading a 4-day Nutrition Technical Review Meeting and documenting strategic updates to key nutrition interventions, guidelines, and implementation strategies. This work aims to improve standardization, promote professional networking, and strengthen south-to-south knowledge exchange across all 63 districts.
Background
Despite progress, disparities persist in the implementation and reporting of nutrition interventions across Zimbabwe. This assignment seeks to address these gaps through:

Improved harmonization of program implementation.

Capacity development for nutritionists and health workers.

Introduction and dissemination of updated materials, including those related to school nutrition, early childhood development (ECD), vitamin A supplementation, and care group models.

Enhancement of professional collaboration and accountability.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
Assignment 1: Facilitate a 4-Day Nutrition Technical Review Meeting

Develop an inclusive agenda and facilitation plan.

Coordinate training sessions and interactive discussions.

Design and implement a skills assessment for nutrition personnel.

Analyze capacity gaps and identify training needs.
-
Document meeting outcomes, discussions, and decisions.
Assignment 2: Produce Final Meeting Report for Zimbabwe

Compile a comprehensive summary of key discussions and resolutions.

Define actionable steps and expected outcomes.

Distribute the final report to stakeholders for implementation and follow-up.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Report Writing, Public Speaking, or a related field.

Experience: 5–7 years of experience facilitating public health workshops/meetings.

Strong facilitation and inclusive communication abilities.

Excellent writing and editing skills for diverse audiences.

Analytical skills to evaluate program strengths and gaps.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Language: Fluency in English (oral and written).
