Key Responsibilities

Financial Governance & Control

Develop, implement, and manage financial policies and protocols to uphold regulatory compliance and financial integrity.
Oversee general accounting, budgeting, cost control, and payroll functions.
Ensure compliance with FinTech standards, AML/CFT regulations, and payment system guidelines.

Strategic Financial Management

Conduct strategic and tactical financial analysis to support decision-making across the business.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational continuity.
Develop and oversee financial models, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

Reporting & Compliance

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders including regulators, investors, and internal leadership.
Liaise with external and internal auditors and regulatory bodies to facilitate reviews and compliance checks.
Maintain robust internal controls and financial systems aligned with statutory and corporate standards.

Risk Management

Lead risk identification and mitigation strategies across financial operations.
Implement robust policies to manage exposure and protect the organization’s financial health.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Advisory

Partner with teams in Tech, Operations, Compliance, and Marketing to integrate financial insights into business strategy.
Provide leadership with expert advice on cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and digital financial trends.
Collaborate with product teams to evaluate the financial viability of new services and initiatives.

Leadership & Capability Development

Lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture through mentorship and development.
Set and manage departmental performance goals aligned with broader business objectives.
Drive strategic planning at the functional level and cascade organizational mission and values to team members.

Operational Excellence

Monitor and evaluate financial performance against KPIs; recommend corrective actions as needed.
Analyze transaction volumes, agent network settlements, and revenue leakage risks to inform business strategy.

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Commerce Honours (BCom Hons) in Finance and Management (Required).
