Sources told this publication that the 25-year-old striker, who previously played for Polokwane City, has been spotted training with the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League debutants. While nothing has been confirmed yet, his presence at training has sparked speculation that he may be on the verge of signing.

Mapfumo’s recent history includes a spell at NFD side Black Leopards before joining Polokwane City in July 2023. A product of the Legends Academy and former Cape Town City player, he also earned his first Warriors call-up in 2024, although he remains a divisive figure among fans.

His training appearance at the same club where Khama Billiat plies his trade, sent social media into overdrive, with some fans excited and others not so sure Scottland FC needs another striker.
