Senior Finance Business Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Finance Business Analyst with over 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 6 years in the finance and insurance sector. This pivotal role demands a strong command of business analysis within agile environments, a proactive approach to change readiness, hands-on testing coordination, and comprehensive post–go‐live support.

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner across regional and cross-functional business teams leading end-to-end solution design, requirement elicitation, stakeholder engagement, and seamless implementation into Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Needs Assessment & Prioritization

  • Analyze and prioritize incoming business requests based on strategic alignment, urgency, and impact.

  • Collaborate with finance and insurance stakeholders to evaluate solution pathways, considering constraints like time, cost, and risk.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Facilitate workshops with geographically diverse teams to collect business and technical requirements.

  • Produce clear, structured documentation such as UML diagrams, annotated workflows, and system interaction models.

  • Maintain traceability from initial concept to final delivery.

Solution Design & Testing Support

  • Collaborate with solution architects and developers to define optimal design strategies.

  • Oversee integration and user acceptance testing to ensure business objectives are met prior to go-live.

Change Readiness & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct impact assessments and support change management strategies to mitigate risk.

  • Develop training materials, user communications, and support frameworks to ensure user readiness.

  • Address resistance and support user adoption initiatives.

Post-Go-Live Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Track solution adoption and performance, gathering user feedback and identifying enhancement opportunities.

  • Lead documentation updates, including release notes, user guides, and FAQs.

  • Recommend iterative improvements based on BAU insights.

Governance & Compliance

  • Uphold governance protocols throughout the solution lifecycle, including stakeholder sign-offs and audit-ready documentation.

  • Ensure adherence to financial industry regulations and internal corporate standards.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Analytics, or related field.

  • Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, IIBA) is highly desirable.

  • Additional qualifications in Accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are an asset.

Industry Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of financial services, with emphasis on Insurance and/or Investments.

  • Solid understanding of Corporate Finance principles and processes.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Advanced skills in stakeholder management and business communication.

  • Proficiency in analytical tools and documentation techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML).

  • Experience with agile project delivery, sprint planning, and backlog management.

  • Familiarity with frameworks like ITIL, CMMI, and PMI.
