Buhera Man Caught With More Than 30 Stolen Women’s Panties for ‘Mubobobo’ Rituals

A Buhera man has shocked an entire community after he was caught with a stash of more than 30 women’s panties, which he allegedly used in disturbing sexual rituals known locally as mubobobo.

The suspect, Augustine Marimo, is accused of stealing women’s undergarments from washing lines and bathing areas around the Nemhari area, where women normally hang their clothes to dry.

The shocking allegations came to light at a traditional court led by Headman Nemhari, where Marimo, his mother Fridah Chiweshe, and several affected women were summoned to face the community.

One of the victims, who chose to remain anonymous to avoid embarrassment, said she attended the hearing just to confirm the rumours. But what she found left her stunned.

She said she froze when she spotted a pair of panties she hadn’t even realised was missing, an item she had inherited from her late sister. It carried deep emotional value, and the idea of it being used in a sexual ritual made her sick.

According to the same woman, Marimo didn’t deny the accusations. Instead, he explained in chilling detail how he used the stolen underwear.

She said he told the court that he would place the panties on his bed, masturbate on them, and imagine himself sleeping with the women they belonged to. He described the experience as if it were real, like being with them in person, even though they never gave consent or were even aware.

The same woman also revealed how her marriage had been falling apart ever since the underwear vanished.

She said intimacy with her husband stopped almost two years ago, around the same time the underwear was taken. At first, her husband was concerned and asked what was wrong, but eventually, he gave up, and their relationship became distant and cold.

Adding another disturbing layer, the woman claimed Marimo admitted that a spiritual voice tells him to steal the panties and use them for these acts.

She said he seemed convinced that he was under some kind of spiritual influence, driven by an unseen force that pushed him to keep stealing and acting out these sexual rituals. The man refused to disclose the identity of the voice’s owner, claiming the person warned him to remain silent or face dire consequences.
