Zimbabwean top-rated striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya is reportedly close to securing a dream move to South Africa’s Betway Premiership. The forward, who currently plays for FC Platinum in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, has been attracting attention for his impressive performances.
According to H-Metro, Zimbabwean football agent Gibson Mahachi confirmed that negotiations are nearing completion with one of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs in South Africa.
“I can confirm negotiations are at an advanced stage with one of the PSL clubs. An agreement is likely to be reached any day now,” Mahachi said.

Following his standout performances in the 2025 COSAFA Cup, where he scored twice and earned a spot in the team of the round, Ngwenya has reportedly agreed to terms with Amazulu FC. The South African club is set to sign the Zimbabwean forward on a two-year deal.
Despite strong interest from several clubs, including a lucrative offer from local side Scottland, Amazulu managed to secure his signature. Sources suggest the club was impressed by his skill, form, and potential.
Ngwenya is expected to make his final appearance for FC Platinum this Saturday against Simba Bhora before completing his move to South Africa.
