Nelson Chamisa says CCC was not the destination
Chamisa finally broke his silence in a powerful Facebook post. He expressed deep gratitude to Zimbabweans for their continued support. He thanked them for voting for him in 2018 and 2023. Chamisa made it clear: “You won in numbers.” He declared the people’s will was denied by a fearful regime.
According to him, CCC was just a vehicle, not the end goal. “When that vehicle was compromised,” he wrote, “it became necessary to step out.” Chamisa said he is now building a new, cleaner, fit-for-purpose strategy. He honoured campaigners, donors, prayer warriors, and activists.
“Stay active. Stay ready,” he urged. Chamisa assured supporters that hope is still alive and victory is near. “Delay is not denial,” he stressed. He promised to finish what he started.
