A house in Bulawayo burned down to ashes while the owners were on holiday in Switzerland, and the fire brigade could not save it.
Fire Brigade Fights Intense Fire And Loses
Emergency crews from the Bulawayo Fire Brigade were dispatched to the scene around 11 AM, confronting an aggressive fire that had already engulfed the structure. Despite their efforts, the intensity of the flames, fueled by dry conditions, overwhelmed the property.

The residence was consumed entirely, with every interior item lost to the inferno. A vehicle parked within the home’s garage was also destroyed.
Residents of the typically quiet neighbourhood could only watch in disbelief as the fire rapidly spread. One eyewitness recounted the speed of the disaster, stating,
“The fire spread so fast, there was nothing anyone could do. We just saw the house disappearing,” said a witness.
