Police have confirmed that businessman Joseph Mutangadura, widely known as Mutangazi, was shot dead at his Ruwa farmhouse shortly after midnight.

In a statement carried by ZiFM Stereo News on 18 August 2025, police confirmed the incident.
ZiFM Stereo News reported
“Police probe murder of entrepreneur Joseph ‘Mutangazi’ Mutangadura. Ruwa – Police sources have confirmed to ZiFM Stereo News that Ruwa businessman Joseph Mutangadura, popularly known as Mutangazi, was shot dead by suspected robbers at his Lisheen Estate farmhouse shortly after midnight. Mutangadura, who owned Lisheen Estate, Mutangadura Hideout, and several butcheries, was attacked at his residence. Authorities say investigations into the circumstances of his death are ongoing.”
Victim was a known businessman
Mutangadura was a well-known figure in Ruwa and the surrounding areas. He operated several businesses, including butcheries and entertainment spots. His Lisheen Estate farmhouse was his main residence.
ZiFM Stereo News further reported:
“Mutangadura, who owned Lisheen Estate, Mutangadura Hideout, and several butcheries, was attacked at his residence. Authorities say investigations into the circumstances of his death are ongoing.”
Police have not yet disclosed details about possible suspects or whether any items were stolen during the attack.
