Fearing the inevitable confrontation with his unsuspecting wife, who had no clue about his whereabouts, Chiwanga reached out to the tabloid around 2 AM to expose his extramarital affair.

He said Alice had lured him to her house and locked the bedroom upon entering. Despite his repeated pleas, she adamantly refused to unlock the door, preventing him from going home to his wife in Zengeza 5.

His attempts to reason with Alice fell on deaf ears as she insisted on keeping the door shut, citing concerns about his safety following a recent robbery incident they had witnessed. Chiwanga, however, argued that the streets were safer to travel pointing out the increased presence of vendors heading to Mbare Musika.

“Please H-Metro can you rush here like now. This lady seduced me and she ended up leading me to her house which she locked upon entering. Akuramba kundivhurira kuti ndiyende kumba kwangu kuZengeza 5. Aviga makeys. Although we witnessed a robbery, I can safely go home and this time vendors are travelling to market places,” pleaded Chiwanga in his call to H-Metro.

Alice on the other hand, defended detaining Chiwanga, arguing that she was doing it for his safety. She insisted that she would unlock the door and let him leave when she felt it was safe to do so.

“I locked the door because it’s too dark and risky for him to walk home since he has no car. It is better for him to arrive home alive than dead. I will not unlock until it is safe for him to travel because we witnessed a serious robbery scene when a man was attacked and the robbers ran away leaving him bleeding,” said Alice.
