Robbers Break In While Victim Sleeps

Speakiing to Masvingo Mirror, Mutetwa revealed that he was sleeping in his rented home, about 800 metres from his workplace, when the robbers broke down the main door and entered his bedroom.

“I was sleeping in my rented house… The robbers broke the house’s main door and when I woke up they were already in my bedroom,” he recounted.

The robbers demanded money before ransacking the room. They took US$5,300 in cash that was inside a bag, US$1,100 worth of Econet airtime, two mobile phones (one containing an agent line with US$538), and a laptop. They tied his hands with shoelaces before fleeing.
