As the country marks 65 days of no load shedding, a member of the Eskom board has stepped down.
Dr Rod Crompton was appointed in 2018 as a non-executive director, as part of a strategic plan to help turn around the ailing power utility.
Crompton previously worked as the deputy director general at the Department of Minerals and Energy, before being a full-time board member at the National Energy Regulator of South Africa for 11 years.
Eskom said he vacated his role for personal reasons.
