According to News24, the accident happened shortly before 19:00 when one car in his convoy crashed.
Jacob Zuma was reportedly travelling from Nkandla to Eshowe in KwaZulu-Natal to campaign for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) party when the accident happened.
Fortunately, Jacob Zuma nor his bodyguards sustained any injuries from the accident.

Netizens revealed that Bheki Mtolo the Secretary of the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal once asserted that Jacob Zuma will be in hospital before General Elections.
