Court documents revealed the company neglected to submit mandatory income tax returns, required PAYE documentation and timely tax remittances.
The compliance failures spanned from December 2023 through January 2025, covering three fiscal years under scrutiny.
Legal Proceedings and Outcome
Company representative Gladman Dhliwayo appeared before the court to address the charges brought by ZIMRA investigator Kelly Vimbai Mutyembizi. Prosecuting attorney Faith Mavudzi successfully argued the case, demonstrating clear violations of Zimbabwe’s Income Tax Act provisions.
“This ruling underscores the serious consequences of disregarding tax obligations,” commented a court official following the judgment. “All registered businesses must adhere to filing deadlines without exception.”

Financial experts suggest this case serves as a cautionary tale for Zimbabwean businesses. Businesses are being warned that timely tax submission remains a legal requirement.
