It has been revealed that a Grade 7 pupil asked for her little sister’s help to search for a rope that she later hanged herself with in Highfield.

She was remembered not only for her academic dedication but also as a quiet and prayerful child.

Details of her final hours paint a confusing and heartbreaking picture. On the eve of a planned trip to a church conference, Anesu returned home from school to find her siblings there. Her mother had gone out to purchase new clothes for the upcoming event.
It was then that Anesu inquired about a swinging rope. After her sister helped her locate it, Anesu asked to be left alone. She subsequently went into a cabin on the property, where she used the rope to hang herself.

Her body was later discovered by the same sister who had assisted in the search, a traumatic event that has left the young sibling severely emotionally affected. The family spokesperson confirmed that initial suspicions of possible sexual abuse were not supported by subsequent forensic results.
Anesu was laid to rest at Zororo Cemetery after delays for necessary forensic investigations.
