Highlanders FC Speaks Out After ZACC Raids Club Offices
Highlanders Football Club has responded to growing speculation following a raid by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) on its offices in Bulawayo on Thursday, 17 July 2025.
The raid is believed to be linked to investigations into the alleged misuse of funds, including player transfer fees and possible misconduct by some club officials.
The development comes roughly three months after the club reportedly launched an internal probe into its former CEO, Brian Moyo, who was accused of defrauding Highlanders of around US$5,000.

Highlanders Club Distances Itself from Raid Claims
Despite the swirling allegations, Highlanders issued a formal statement distancing itself from initiating any legal or investigative action.
In a notice to its stakeholders, the club clarified that it had not reported any case to ZACC, the police, or any other investigative authority.

They emphasized that their internal governance structures are robust enough to address such concerns without external interference.
Commitment to Good Governance
Reaffirming their adherence to football’s highest governance standards, the club reiterated its compliance with FIFA rules and PSL protocols.
