‘I Will Wait for You, My Love’: Woman Vows Celibacy Until Jailed Fake Mpilo Doctor Is Released From Prison
23-year-old Hazel Mangwiro has committed to remaining celibate until her fiancé, Taurai “Prosper” Vanhuvaone, the fake doctor walks free from prison.
Vanhuvaone, who recently made headlines for posing as a fake medical doctor and defrauding several victims at Mpilo Central Hospital, was sentenced on Wednesday to five-and-a-half years in prison — with two years suspended, leaving him to serve three-and-a-half years effectively.
Mangwiro made her vow of celibacy, the same day Vanhuvaone was sentenced.

‘Our First Time Should Be Special’: Hazel Vows to Remain Celibate Until Vanhuvaone is Released
Hazel Mangwiro says her decision to remain celibate until Prosper Vanhuvaone’s release wasn’t made lightly — but it was made with love.
She pointed out that she wants her first intimate moment with Prosper to be special.
Hazel expressed her love for her boyfriend and vowed to stand by him through his prison sentence.
“It’s not an easy decision, but it feels right. Prosper and I share a deep connection, and physical intimacy is an important part of that. But I want our first time together after his release to be special — a symbol of our commitment and the journey we’ve been through. I don’t care what the world says. I love my man and will stand by him,” she said.
Hazel Embraces Celibacy Despite the Challenges
Hazel acknowledged that her decision to remain celibate until Prosper’s release isn’t something everyone would understand or choose.
She acknowledged that though some may view her as young and naïve, she is really in love with Prosper.
“It’s not for everyone. Celibacy can be challenging, especially in a long-term relationship… I know people might think I’m young and naïve, but I’m in love with him.”
Hazel explained that her decision to remain celibate goes beyond simply abstaining from physical intimacy. For her, it is a meaningful way to support Prosper during his time in prison.
“It’s about more than just abstaining. It’s about supporting Prosper, staying true to myself, and building a future together, brick by brick. Our love is worth fighting for, and this is my way of showing him that. Nothing will separate us.”
