Horror As Man Axes Own Father To Death Over ED
A 28-year-old man axed his father to death at a farm in Kadoma after accusing him of witchcraft and blaming him for his erectile dysfunction (ED) challenges. The shocking incident took place on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, at Justright Plot in the Showground area.
Beer Drinking Turns To Violence
According to reports, Talent Chirongoma had been drinking beer at Mugwachari Shopping Centre together with his friend, Tichawona Ndlovu, before they proceeded to his father’s homestead.
When they arrived, they found 86-year-old Tinos Chirongoma with members of the Apostolic Church (Mwazha). Talent immediately confronted the church members, demanding to know why they were, as he claimed, “talking to a witch.”
A witness said the church members fled in fear.
Tichawona tried to calm Talent down, but he was struck with a wooden log.
Police confirmed that the blow landed on the right side of his face, leaving him unconscious.
After that, Talent turned on his father. He first used logs to beat him before striking him multiple times with an axe on the head and legs.
Tinos died instantly while his sick wife looked on, unable to intervene.
Accusations Of Witchcraft And ED
Neighbours revealed that Talent had repeatedly accused his father of being behind his ED problems.
One neighbour explained the situation, saying:
“Besides drinking these illicit beers, Talent had been clashing with his father several times accusing him of witchcraft. He separated with three wives over manhood erection problems and some faith healers said Tinos was behind this.”
The neighbour added that Talent also blamed his father for his mother’s illness.
“He was fooled by faith healers he has been consulting and became a threat to everyone who wanted to counsel him,” the neighbour said.
Reports from the area indicate that Talent often claimed his ED was spiritually induced and accused his father of using witchcraft to cause it. The alleged problem had contributed to the collapse of three marriages.
Police Report And Arrest
Police confirmed that the matter was reported by Tinashe Magura at Eiffel Flats Police Station. Officers arrested Talent soon after the incident.
A police source stated:
“The accused assaulted his father with logs and an axe, leading to his death. The suspect has since been arrested and investigations are ongoing.”
