The helpless newborn boy was discovered abandoned near the Khami Prison Complex on Wednesday, July 24, 2025. The infant, estimated to be mere hours old when found, had been concealed under natural debris when alert passersby spotted him.

Quick-thinking community members immediately transported the baby to receive urgent medical care. Authorities confirmed the child was admitted to Mpilo Central Hospital, where he remains under professional supervision and receiving necessary treatment.
