Orlando Pirates Mourn Death of Former Striker Tendai Ndoro

Orlando Pirates Football Club has confirmed the death of former Zimbabwean striker Tendai Ndoro, who was reportedly found dead at his home in South Africa.

Ndoro, once a fan favourite at Chicken Inn and later Orlando Pirates, had been battling diabetes since 2021. The illness, which affected his eyesight, forced him to retire from professional football in 2020.

In a post shared on X on Monday, 18 August 2025, Orlando Pirates described Ndoro as a valued member of the club during his stint between 2015 and 2017. The club expressed sadness at his passing and extended condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.

The post read:

“Orlando Pirates Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former striker, Tendai Ndoro (2015–2017). The club extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.”
