SA Police Launch Manhunt For Zimbabwean Man After He Murders SAPS Officers

South African police services has launched a manhunt for a Zimbabwean fugitive after he went on the run after killing SAPS officers.

A high-priority police operation is currently hunting Jabulani Thabang Moyo, a Zimbabwean citizen wanted for the execution-style murder of two South African Police Service detectives in Roodepoort this week.

Moyo is currently on the run after the two gruesome murders and has been giving authorities the slip.

Law enforcement agencies have placed a R150,000 reward for credible information leading to Moyo’s capture. The suspect allegedly murdered the officers from Florida Police Station during a prisoner transport on August 8 before commandeering their unmarked police vehicle.

Violent Court Transport Attack That Led To The Manhunt

According to police reports, the violent incident occurred as Moyo was being returned from a court hearing. The fugitive reportedly overpowered his escorts before shooting them at close range. The stolen police vehicle was later recovered abandoned in an undisclosed location.

The Hawks special investigations unit has classified Moyo as “armed and extremely dangerous”. Authorities have warned civilians not to approach the wanted man but to immediately alert law enforcement if spotted.
