The small town of Lupane laid to rest 26-year-old Brian Thulani Ngwenya on Wednesday, the second victim of the tragic capsizing. Ngwenya, a recent Lupane State University graduate and local council employee, was interred as mourners gathered to pay their respects.

Local sources report the two young men were enjoying recreational time when they allegedly disrobed before boarding a council vessel. Investigators discovered their clothing carefully arranged along the shoreline, fueling speculation about the circumstances preceding the accident.

Photographs of the recovered garments have spread through community WhatsApp networks, with residents expressing confusion about the men’s decision to remove their clothing before entering the watercraft.

Lupane District Development Coordinator Ennety Sithole confirmed ongoing recovery operations in statements to local media.

“Our teams continue searching for Constable Masvora,” Sithole stated. “The ZRP Sub-Aqua Unit paused operations yesterday evening but has recommenced the search this morning.”
