A South Africa-bound coal truck overturned on the Bulawayo-Plumtree Highway, after the driver suspectedly dozed off.
The accident, which occurred at the 67km peg near Bulawayo, believed to have been triggered by the driver falling asleep at the wheel, caused chaos on the highway as it locked the road.

The massive haulage truck, transporting a load of coal from Hwange, veered off the road before flipping onto its side, leaving the highway littered with debris.
Pictures on social media showed the truck lying on the tarred road on its side with coal scattered on the ground
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where the unnamed driver was miraculously found alive, suffering only minor injuries. He was quickly whisked to a nearby hospital in Bulawayo for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.
