Seke Road Accident Survivor Still in ICU as Families Bury Loved Ones
Popular broadcaster and podcaster DJ Ollah 7 has shared a deeply emotional update following the tragic Seke Road accident that claimed 17 lives on 22 July 2025. The horrific collision between a commuter omnibus (kombi) and a haulage truck has since been declared a national disaster.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, DJ Ollah 7 revealed the current condition of the survivors he visited at the hospital. While some are recovering, others remain in critical condition.

He said two of the survivors, including the truck driver, Desire Madhuviko, and another victim, Nyasha Tanganganyika, have since been discharged. However, Madhuviko is reportedly still in pain despite medical scans not showing any serious injuries.
“Yesterday, I visited the survivors to see how they’re feeling after the accident and I can confirm to you that 2 survivors have been discharged from the hospital after doctors assessed them. The truck driver, Desire Madhuviko and Nyasha Tanganganyika are now at home, but the wife of the truck driver told me that Desire is not well despite the X-Rays showing no signs of serious injuries. The other 2 survivors, one male (Moses) and female (Ruvimbo) are still in hospital, one in ICU unit and the assistant truck driver is in the ward where they are being treated,” DJ Ollah 7 said.
Visiting Grieving Families
But it wasn’t just hospital visits for DJ Ollah 7. He also spent time with bereaved families in their homes, and the scenes, he said, were heartbreaking. He shared how he visited three families on Wednesday evening to offer condolences and described the devastating moment when coffins were taken out of the hearse.
“I also went to 3 different homes last night to pay my last respects (kubata maoko), and I can tell you that it was not easy for me to watch families breaking down looking at their loved ones’ bodies taken out of the hearse, it was so heartbreaking . Nyasha lost both her husband and her 3-year-old daughter in the same accident. She was crying all the way, and I couldn’t help it until I started crying as well. They will be buried today at Zororo cemetery at 2 pm,” DJ Ollah 7 added.
