Despite persistent claims on social media that former Warriors striker Tendai Ndoro was ruined by his ex-wife, Thando Maseko, Ndoro himself dismissed those reports. He insisted that Maseko did not strip him of his assets or money, yet many continued to blame her for his misfortune.

Ndoro, however, made it clear that his troubles were not caused by women or alcohol, as many suggested. Instead, it was gambling addiction that tore his life apart.
Investigations by The NewsHawks found that Ndoro was a regular at major casinos in South Africa, including Montecasino in Fourways, Emperors Palace in Kempton Park, and Time Square in Pretoria. His gambling habits left him broke, cost him his home, cars, and relationships, and ultimately destroyed his football career.

From Faith to Ruin
Ndoro grew up in a Christian household, but later drifted into a lifestyle of indulgence and destructive habits. Friends and acquaintances revealed that gambling was his biggest weakness, the addiction that overshadowed his talent and left him destitute.
A Johannesburg socialite confirmed Ndoro’s gambling problem, saying he was often spotted at casinos in Gauteng.
Mourners who attended Ndoro’s funeral described a man who had lost everything by the time of his death. One mourner reflected on how sad his final days were:
“Tendai died a sad, lonely and bitter death at a small studio apartment at Barlow Park Lifestyle Estate. I’m one of the guys who went there timely to pay my condolences. He had lost everything due to women, alcohol and gambling, which was his main challenge. I frequently saw him gambling at Montecasino in Fourways. He was a regular there.”
