Tsholotsho Woman Connives with Boyfriend to Kill Stepmum
A gruesome murder case has rocked Tsholotsho, where police are hunting down a 34-year-old woman, Linnar Muzimela, and her boyfriend, only identified as Nkosi. The pair is accused of killing Muzimela’s stepmother, 58-year-old Jenifer Dube, and burying her body in a shallow grave.
The killing allegedly happened back in May 2025 at Magotsha Line, but the horrific truth only came to light months later. On 2 September, police dug up Dube’s remains from the backyard garden after following up on a tip-off.
Police say Muzimela and Nkosi murdered Dube in cold blood before secretly burying her. What drove them to commit such a crime is still a mystery, but investigators are working to piece together what really happened.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said they need the public’s help to catch the suspects. He explained that the two are now wanted in connection with the murder and urged anyone who has information to come forward.
“We are appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Linnar Muzimela and her boyfriend, Nkosi. They are wanted in connection with a case of murder in which the victim, who was Muzimela’s stepmother, was killed and buried in a shallow grave at Magotsha Line.”
Neighbours, meanwhile, had reportedly grown uneasy after noticing that Dube had not been seen for several weeks. Their suspicions eventually led police to search the property, where they made the grim discovery.
Commissioner Nyathi stressed that the public’s cooperation is critical in this case, urging anyone with knowledge of Muzimela and Nkosi’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
“Anyone who may know the whereabouts of the suspects should report to the nearest police station,” said Comm Nyathi.
For now, the motive behind the murder remains unclear, but the manhunt for the fugitive couple is intensifying.
