Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newcomers Scottland FC have secured yet another big-money boost — this time from the country’s football captain himself. Reports suggest Warriors skipper and Luton Town midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has bought shares in the ambitious club for an undisclosed amount.

The move adds to the already deep pockets of the team, which is owned by businessman and Zanu PF politician Pedzisayi “Scott” Sakupwanya. Since joining top-flight football, Scottland have made headlines for their aggressive investment in the game, backed by wealthy sponsors including Wicknell Chivayo and Kuda Tagwirei’s Sakunda Holdings.

The news first surfaced on Friday, 8 August 2025, when football platform Fanzone.co.zw posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Nakamba had joined the club’s ownership ranks. The post described it as a “marvellous initiative,” sparking debate among fans.

Taking to X, the football blogger shared:
