Warriors Legend Alois Bunjira Hospitalised After Horror Car Accident on Rusape–Nyanga Road
Former Warriors star Alois Bunjira survived a serious car accident on Saturday near Rusape.
The football legend and current CAPS United marketing manager was rushed to Rusape General Hospital following the crash, which happened close to St Faith’s High School, about eight kilometres from Rusape along the Rusape–Nyanga Road.

Journey to Honde Valley Turns Tragic
Bunjira was reportedly travelling to his rural home in Honde Valley when the accident occurred.
He was also on his way to conduct route certification for the upcoming Honde Valley Marathon, which he hopes will be recognised as an official qualifier for the prestigious Comrades Marathon.

Stable But Under Observation
While details about the extent of his injuries remain unclear, sources close to the family confirmed that Bunjira survived the crash and is under medical care at Rusape General Hospital.
His condition is said to be stable, though he remains under close observation.
Marathon Plans Temporarily Derailed
The accident is a major setback for Bunjira’s efforts to put Honde Valley on the international athletics map.
The Warriors legend has been working tirelessly to ensure the marathon gains recognition, with hopes of attracting elite runners in the near future.
