A woman traveller lost her life at King Shaka International Airport, shortly before boarding a flight to Johannesburg.

Paramedics arrived shortly after a call was dispatched and found her unresponsive. She was declared dead following several attempts to save her life.

“Despite all efforts, the traveller was unfortunately declared deceased on the scene. The cause of death is still unknown; however, we can confirm that the matter has been handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS),” said ACSA in a statement issued on Saturday.
