Zimbabwean Couple Arrested in UK Over Multi-Million Pound Luxury Car Smuggling Ring
A Zimbabwean couple residing in East London has reportedly been arrested following a police raid that uncovered a luxury car smuggling operation valued at millions of pounds.
Early Morning Raid Uncovers Key Evidence
According to Crime Watch Zimbabwe, Tendai Chigova, 41, and his wife Melissa Chigova, 35, were detained after officers conducted an early-morning search of their Stratford apartment.
Police recovered keys to several high-end vehicles, fake registration documents, and over £250,000 in cash hidden in suitcases.

Alleged Operation Targeted Luxury Cars Across the UK
Authorities believe the Chigovas orchestrated the theft of luxury cars including Range Rovers, BMWs, and Mercedes-Benz models from locations throughout the UK.
These vehicles were then reportedly shipped to buyers in West Africa and the Middle East.
Police Call It One of the Largest Smuggling Networks Disrupted
Detective Sarah Donnelly of the Metropolitan Police Vehicle Crime Unit called the investigation one of the biggest smuggling ring busts in recent years.
She revealed that the Chigovas are suspected to have run this highly organised operation for over four years.
Investigation Ongoing
Police continue to investigate the full extent of the network and possible additional suspects connected to the smuggling scheme.
