Zimbabwean Student Dies in India After Campus Attack
After a week-long fight for his life, 22-year-old Zimbabwean student Ziweya Leeroy tragically passed away on Thursday at AIIMS Bathinda.
Ziweya had been attacked on August 13, a day after a dispute with Guru Kashi University security guard Dilpreet Singh. He was studying BSc Radiology and Imaging Technology (RIT) and had joined the university in Talwandi Sabo in 2023.
Police have now arrested seven suspects and upgraded the case to include a murder charge at the Talwandi Sabo police station.
