Peter Ndlovu Set to Be Appointed as Scottland FC Team Manager
Zimbabwean football legend Peter Ndlovu is on the brink of a surprise return to the local game after leaving South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
He is set to be appointed as the next Scottland FC team manager, sources close to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions have indicated.

Champions Strengthen Backroom Team
Sources close to the Mabvuku-based club say Scottland are not slowing down after clinching the league title, with the champions swooping on the former Warriors captain as part of broader structural changes. Ndlovu is understood to be taking up the role of team manager, filling the vacancy left by Tawanda Chidzidzi, who has since been elevated to club vice-chairman.
Talks Said to Have Begun Last Year
Although the appointment has not yet been officially confirmed, insiders claim discussions between Scottland and Ndlovu began as early as November last year.
The negotiations were reportedly conducted quietly, with the club keen to secure an experienced football administrator to complement its technical team.
Club Officials Remain Tight-Lipped
Scottland secretary general Fortune Bgwoni, speaking from South Africa, declined to either confirm or deny the developments, saying an announcement would be made once all processes had been concluded.
“When that happens, we will let the world know,” said Bgwoni.
Vast Experience at Top Level
Ndlovu brings significant experience to the role, having spent more than six years in management at South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns. His possible arrival is expected to further enhance Scottland’s professionalism and ambition as they prepare to defend their league crown.
If completed, the move would mark a notable homecoming for one of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated football figures and underline Scottland’s intent to remain dominant both on and off the pitch.
