Orlando Pirates Star Tshepang Moremi Credits Relebohile Mofokeng and Patrick Maswanganyi
Orlando Pirates winger Tshepang Moremi has lifted the lid on his impressive start at the club, revealing how the support of teammates helped him adapt quickly after his move from AmaZulu at the start of the season.
The 25-year-old has been one of the standout performers for the Buccaneers, contributing eight goals and one assist across all competitions, while also earning a call-up to the senior national team.

Familiar Faces Ease the Transition
According to iDiskiTimes, Moremi said settling into life at Orlando Pirates was made easier by the number of new signings who arrived alongside him, which reduced pressure during the early weeks of the campaign.
He added that being surrounded by familiar faces played a major role in helping him adjust to the demands and culture of the club.
According to the winger, Relebohile Mofokeng and Patrick Maswanganyi were particularly influential, offering guidance both on and off the pitch and helping him understand what it means to play for one of South Africa’s biggest clubs.
“And also, here there are guys I found who I grew up with. They also helped me settle in by showing me the ropes and helping me understand the culture of the team. Someone I grew up with is Rele and also Tito. You remember that incident that happened, Tito was the one who calmed me down and helped me relax,” Moremi said.
Support During a Difficult Moment
Moremi also reflected on a challenging moment when he later learned that sections of the crowd had booed him during a match. He said Maswanganyi stepped in at the right time, calming him down and helping him regain focus.
The winger admitted that discovering the reaction after the game was painful, but he chose not to dwell on it, understanding that pressure from supporters is part of football at the highest level.
Confidence Growing With Each Game
Despite the early challenges, Moremi believes the backing from his teammates has allowed him to grow in confidence and express himself on the field. His performances suggest a player growing in belief, maturity and consistency as the season progresses.
With strong numbers already on the board and trusted figures around him in the dressing room, Moremi appears well on his way to cementing his place at Orlando Pirates.
