Zimbabwe School Examinations Council Announces Exchange Rates for 2026 Exam Fees
The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council has released the official exchange rates to be used when paying fees for the November 2026 Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations.
The announcement is aimed at guiding parents, guardians, and schools on how payments should be calculated across different currencies.

Official Rates Announced
According to the notice, the applicable exchange rates are as follows:
- 1 United States Dollar (USD) = 26.53 Zimbabwe Gold (ZWG)
- 1 United States Dollar (USD) = 16.89 South African Rand (ZAR)
These rates will be used when converting examination fees for payments made in local or regional currencies.
Payments to Be Made Through Schools
ZIMSEC emphasised that examination fees should not be paid directly to the council.
Instead, all payments must be processed through schools or designated examination centres, which are responsible for collecting and submitting the fees on behalf of candidates.

Guidance for Parents and Guardians
The council encouraged parents and guardians to liaise closely with their respective schools to ensure timely and accurate payment of fees.
This move is expected to streamline the payment process and avoid confusion as the examination period approaches.
Manicaland Schools Celebrated for Academic Excellence
Meanwhile, top-performing schools from Manicaland Province are being recognised today at the Manica Skyview Hotel for their exceptional performance in the 2025 Zimbabwe School Examinations Council results.
The awards ceremony, held under the inaugural Manicaland Chapter Zimpapers Excellence Awards, has brought together leading academic institutions from across the province.
A total of eleven schools are set to be honoured for outstanding achievement at both Ordinary and Advanced Level. Among the notable institutions being recognised are First Class Academy, St Augustine’s High School, and St David’s Bonda Girls High School.
