The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Torerayi Moyo, announced a deadline extension for ZIMSEC fees. He moved the deadline from 27 March 2026 to 22 May 2026.
Moyo shared the update during a National Assembly session on Wednesday, 25 March. He addressed lawmakers during a Question and Answer session.
Parents Request More Time
Moyo explained that parents and guardians requested more time for payments.
“We have received requests of that nature to the effect that parents and guardians are requesting that the deadline for the Zimbabwe school examinations for November 2026 be extended.
“After making some consultations, I am pleased to announce that the November 2026 public examinations deadline for registration will be extended from 27 March 2026 to 22 May 2026.
Schools Urged to Deposit Fees
Meanwhile, Moyo urged centres to deposit collected fees without delay.
“We encourage that the centres that had collected registration fees should proceed and deposit the fees with the Zimbabwe school examinations banking institution so that it does not disrupt the preparations for the examinations for the November 2026 examinations.”
He stressed that early deposits will support smooth exam preparations.
