2 suspects killed in another shoutout with police in KZN

Kwazulu-Natal police are assessing an active crime scene in Groutville on the North Coast, where officers shot and killed two suspected criminals.

It is believed that they were behind numerous crimes in the area.

The incident occurred when police attempted to arrest the duo on Monday, who then opened fire on them.

Both were killed, when officers returned fire.

This is the latest in a series of shootouts with suspected criminals in the province.

While police have been criticized for their actions, Minister Senzo Mchunu has defended them, saying lawlessness will not be tolerated.
