Wicknell Chivayo Gifts Apostle Nimrod Taguta US$260K Land Rover Defender and US$250K Cash
Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again grabbed headlines after gifting senior apostolic church leaders luxury vehicles and hundreds of thousands of United States dollars in cash as part of his Africa Day celebrations.
In a lengthy social media post shared on Facebook, Chivayo announced that he had gifted Mutumwa Nimrod Taguta a brand new 2026 Land Rover Defender valued at US$260,000 together with US$250,000 cash, which he said would assist in fuel and upkeep costs for church work.

Honouring Apostolic Leadership
Chivayo said he had long wished to honour Taguta, whom he described as a respected leader within the apostolic faith.
He revealed that years ago he travelled to Marange where he received blessings from the late Mutumwa Noah Taguta, whose spiritual influence, he said, left a lasting impact on many people.
According to Chivayo, the recognition of Nimrod Taguta was inspired by his leadership of the Johanne Marange African Apostolic Church and his efforts in preserving the teachings and values of the church’s founding fathers.
In his post, Chivayo said although they belonged to different apostolic denominations, they were united by the same faith and shared spiritual calling.
Cash and Luxury Vehicles
Apart from the Land Rover Defender and cash for Taguta, Chivayo also announced another major donation to Bishop Manhango of the Bethsaida Apostolic Church.
He said Bishop Manhango would receive a brand new 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 3.0D valued at US$160,000 as well as US$100,000 in cash in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the apostolic church.
Chivayo described the gifts as tokens of appreciation for the church leaders’ commitment to advancing the Christian faith and serving their congregations.
Africa Day Celebrations
The businessman tied the donations to Africa Day commemorations, saying the celebrations were also an opportunity to honour spiritual leaders who continue guiding communities through faith.
He concluded his message by praying for wisdom, protection and divine guidance for the apostolic leaders as they continue leading their churches.
