Armed Robbers Strike Jet Store In Bulawayo CBD, Police Launch Investigation
Police have launched an investigation following a daylight armed robbery at a Jet clothing store in Bulawayo’s central business district on Wednesday morning.
The robbery unfolded at around 9:30am at the Jet outlet located at Bulawayo Centre, disrupting business activities and drawing the attention of shoppers and nearby retailers.

Crime scene cordoned off
Shortly after the incident, an armed response team from Safeguard Security Company, supported by an armed Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officer, arrived at the scene and secured the area.
Investigators spent the morning examining the crime scene as they gathered evidence and worked to establish exactly how the robbery was carried out.
Key details still unclear
Authorities had not yet confirmed how many suspects were involved or whether cash, merchandise or other valuables had been stolen.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police is expected to release further information once preliminary investigations have been completed.
No casualties reported
Despite the dramatic nature of the robbery and the fact that it occurred during business hours, no injuries were reported. Police said both employees and customers inside the store escaped unharmed.
