Eyewitnesses Reveal What Really Happened in Deadly Mufakose Brother Stabbing
A long-standing family feud — not a love triangle as earlier believed — is said to have led to the death of 30-year-old Pardon Ncube in Mufakose.
Prince Ncube, a 27-year-old nurse stabbed his 30-year-old brother, Pardon Ncube, three times. Despite efforts to save him, Pardon later died at a local clinic.
New eyewitness accounts and testimony from those close to the brothers have shed more light on the incident.

Fatal Altercation During Snooker Game
Eyewitnesses revealed that the fatal confrontation took place while the brothers were playing snooker at Gwenyambira Shopping Centre.
An argument broke out between them and quickly escalated. During the heated exchange, the older brother reportedly struck Prince with a brick on the legs.
Despite efforts from friends to separate the two, the brothers continued to fight each other. In what eyewitnesses described as a desperate act of self-defence, Prince then drew a knife, stabbed his brother three times, and fled the scene.
Sadly, Pardon died later from his injuries.
Woman at Centre of Alleged Love Triangle Speaks Out
Meanwhile, a woman previously reported to have been at the centre of the deadly altercation has come forward to clear the air.
Phillipa, a vendor at Gwenyambira Shopping Centre, strongly denied claims that she was romantically involved with both brothers.
“I was never in a relationship with Prince. I only dated Pardon. When I met him, he told me that they were not on speaking terms,” she said.
Phillipa insisted that their conflict had nothing to do with her, and instead, pointed to an earlier fallout.
Lobola Money Dispute Sparked the Rift
According to Phillipa, the real source of tension between the brothers dated back to Prince’s lobola (bride price) ceremony.
“There was an argument about money. People who helped him expected $25 each, but he gave them $20. He then went to their father and complained that Pardon had demanded money from him,” Phillipa alleged.
She said this dispute triggered the bitter rift between the siblings, which ultimately led to the tragic incident.
Authorities are continuing their investigations as more details continue to surface.
