Face Of 29-Year-Old Woman Accused Of Biting Husband’s Testicles Revealed
The face of 29-year-old Sharlene Rutendo Munenga has been revealed after she appeared in court over allegations that she bit her husband during a domestic dispute sparked by suspected infidelity.
Munenga was back before Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo on Monday, 14 September 2026, with the case now set for a bail hearing on Wednesday, 16 September. The latest details were reported by H-Metro on 15 September. (
What Happened In Dzivarasekwa 2?
The allegations relate to an incident at the couple’s Dzivarasekwa 2 home on Wednesday, 9 September.
H-Metro reports that Munenga allegedly confronted her 33-year-old husband, Munyaradzi Pondi, after receiving information that he was involved with another woman.
The earlier H-Metro report published on 11 September stated that the confrontation escalated after she was allegedly dissatisfied with his response.
The publication reported:
“The court heard that Munenga went on to bite Pondi’s testicle and he sustained serious injuries.”
Pondi was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment, according to the earlier report.
Munenga Remains In Custody
Munenga is facing a physical abuse allegation under the Domestic Violence Act.
State prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawo appeared for the State. The court was also told that a medical affidavit would form part of the evidence.
H-Metro reports that Munenga spent the weekend in custody before appearing again in court on Monday. She was further remanded to 16 September for bail considerations.
The allegations have not been tested in court. Munenga remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
The case is now moving towards the bail hearing, with the medical evidence expected to form part of the State’s case.
