Outrage As Fans Invade Pitch After Warriors’ Match Against DRC
A section of supporters ran onto the pitch at the National Sports Stadium shortly after the final whistle of the Warriors’ match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), triggering widespread criticism.
The incident unfolded moments after the match ended, with videos capturing the pitch invasion subsequently circulating on social media.

Footage showing supporters inside the playing area has gone viral, drawing strong reactions from viewers online.
The scenes have left some fans disgruntled, with questions being raised over how the supporters managed to breach the pitch area after the match.

The pitch invasion has also put the spotlight on security and crowd-control measures at the National Sports Stadium.
The incident has prompted concerns over whether adequate measures were in place to prevent spectators from entering the playing area.

Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. You cannot celebrate the revival of our sporting infrastructure today and destroy it tomorrow. The pitch, sprinklers and stadium equipment are national assets. Identify those responsible, investigate and enforce the law.

This kind of vandalism must not be tolerated. How can anyone think it is acceptable to try to remove water sprinklers from the pitch? This mentality is dangerous and undermines the investment being made to improve our sporting infrastructure.
Those responsible should be identified and held accountable in accordance with the law.
Going forward, spectators should not be allowed onto the pitch after matches. Proper security measures must be enforced to protect the playing surface, equipment and other stadium infrastructure. We cannot invest in rebuilding our facilities only to allow a few individuals to destroy them.

The reason Harare is in such a terrible state is its own citizens. Imagine having Mafume as your leader and citizens like these.
