Wicknell Chivayo Spoils Longtime Lawyers Wilson Manase, Sylvester Hashiti With US$500,000 Cash, Lexus And Range Rover
Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has rewarded two lawyers who have represented and supported him for decades with luxury vehicles and a combined US$500,000 in cash.
Chivayo announced the gifts in a Facebook post while reflecting on his long-standing relationships with senior lawyers Wilson Manase and Advocate Sylvester Hashiti.

Lexus And US$250,000 For Wilson Manase
Chivayo said Manase had been part of his journey since his early days, describing him as more than just a lawyer but also a father figure, mentor, brother, adviser and trusted confidant.
He recalled meeting Manase in 1998, when he was still renting a single room in Hillside and trying to establish himself.
According to Chivayo, Manase also introduced him to Advocate Lewis Uriri SC and Advocate Sylvester Hashiti.
As part of his appreciation, Chivayo said Manase would receive a brand-new 2026 Lexus GX 550 valued at US$220,000.
He also offered him US$250,000 in cash, which he said was intended for fuel and personal upkeep.
Hashiti Gets Range Rover And US$500,000
Chivayo also announced a separate package for Hashiti, whom he described as his “younger brother”.
He said Hashiti had previously received three vehicles from him but would now receive a fourth.
The gift is a 2026 Range Rover Sport Autobiography, accompanied by US$250,000 in cash for fuel and upkeep.
Chivayo further promised Hashiti another US$250,000 after praising a recent video in which the lawyer said, “I REPRESENT THE PRESIDENT” while discussing a court case.
He said the additional money would bring Hashiti’s cash gift to US$500,000 and joked that security and a cash-in-transit vehicle would be arranged to escort the lawyer to his bank.
Chivayo Reflects On Longstanding Relationships
The businessman said both lawyers had supported him throughout different stages of his life and business career.
He also highlighted Manase’s involvement in his companies, saying the lawyer had served as an executive chairman and board member of some of his businesses.
Chivayo said the gifts were his way of recognising decades of loyalty, professional service, mentorship and friendship.
