Chillmaster Pleads Not Guilty to Culpable Homicide and Driving Without License Charges
Popular musician Chillmaster has pleaded not guilty to charges of culpable homicide and driving without a driver’s license in a case involving the death of 50-year-old Caston Charambira.
The pedestrian died on the spot after being hit by Chillmaster’s vehicle.

Accident Claims Life of Zaka Man
The fatal incident occurred while Chillmaster was driving from Stoneridge towards town with three passengers in his vehicle.
He reportedly struck Charambira, who was walking along the roadside from Stoneridge heading towards MaSteps.
The victim sustained broken legs and severe head injuries and died instantly. He was later buried in Zaka.

Prosecutor Presses for Evidence of License
Appearing in court yesterday before Magistrate Tatenda Mukurunge after being summoned, Chillmaster maintained his not guilty plea.
In response, Prosecutor Idrissa Mustapha Mupandasekwa asked the musician’s legal team to produce the driver’s license or provide a statement of agreed facts so the charge could potentially be withdrawn.
He said the State was prepared to withdraw the charge of driving without a license if the document could be presented.
However, Chillmaster’s legal representatives pushed back, accusing the State of prematurely trying to conclude the matter and insisting that the case proceed to full trial.
Trial Set to Begin
Following the court proceedings, Magistrate Mukurunge remanded the matter to tomorrow for the commencement of trial.
