Empowering Local Change-Makers: Trócaire Launches Capacity Strengthening Support Programme

Invitation for Expression of Interest: Capacity Strengthening Support for Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and Emerging Organisations in Zimbabwe

Trócaire Zimbabwe invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from registered Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and emerging organisations across Zimbabwe to participate in a comprehensive Capacity Strengthening Support Programme. This initiative seeks to enhance the operational effectiveness, sustainability, and impact of grassroots organisations committed to addressing development challenges in their communities.

Recognising the pivotal role CBOs play in promoting inclusive development with minimal resources, Trócaire aims to equip selected organisations with the tools, skills, and knowledge needed to deliver more effectively and sustainably. The capacity building programme will focus on governance, programme design and delivery, financial management, and monitoring and evaluation.

Eligibility Criteria

Organisations expressing interest must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a registered CBO or emerging organisation operating legally in Zimbabwe.

  • Have a demonstrable commitment to community service and mission-driven work.

  • Operate on a limited budget and lack access to fee-based capacity-building services.

  • Be willing and able to commit time and internal resources to participate fully in the programme.

  • Be located in any part of Zimbabwe, with a preference for those operating in marginalised or underserved areas.
